The short version
We have no accounts and no servers of our own. Your progress stays on your device. The game shows ads from Google AdMob and sells optional in-app items through Google Play, with purchases handled by RevenueCat. It also uses Google Analytics for Firebase to see, in aggregate, how the game is played. Those services receive some technical data, described below.
What stays on your device
Your progress (levels, stars, gold, gear, cosmetics, chefs, regulars' friendship and settings such as language, music, sound and vibration) is saved on your own device so you can continue where you left off. On Android, the operating system may include this saved progress in your device's own backup to your Google account, if you have backups turned on. That backup is handled by Google under your account settings, not by us.
You can remove all saved progress at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the game.
Ads (Google AdMob)
The game shows two kinds of ads: rewarded ads you choose to watch (for example to double your gold or continue a level), and occasional full-screen ads between levels. These ads are served by Google AdMob.
To show and measure ads, AdMob collects data from your device, such as your device's advertising ID, IP address (which can indicate approximate location), device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Google uses this data as described in its own policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game asks for your consent through Google's consent form before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice later, and you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings › Google › Ads on most Android phones).
Buying "Remove Ads" turns off the between-level ads. Rewarded ads stay available only if you choose to watch them.
Game analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
To understand how the game is played and where it is too hard or confusing, the game sends usage events to Google Analytics for Firebase: for example that the game was opened, the tutorial was finished, a level was started or finished (with the level number, stars and gold earned), the shop was opened, gold was spent on an item, an ad was watched or the share screen was opened. Firebase also records how often and how long the game is used and basic device information such as model, operating system version, language and approximate region (derived from the IP address). It uses an app instance ID created by Firebase for this; we do not collect your name, email or contacts. We only look at this data in aggregate. See how Google uses data from apps that use its services and Firebase's privacy information.
Purchases (Google Play and RevenueCat)
In-app purchases are paid through Google Play. We never see your payment details. To deliver and restore what you bought, the game uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user ID it creates, the purchases made on that ID and basic device and app information. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Sharing your result card
When you tap Share at the end of a level, the game draws an image of your result on your device and opens your phone's own share menu. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose an app to share it with; what happens next is governed by that app.
Permissions
Internet (for ads, purchases and analytics), vibration (haptic feedback), and the advertising ID permission used by AdMob.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your requests
Because we hold no personal data on our own servers, there is nothing for us to delete or export. For data held by Google (AdMob and Firebase) or RevenueCat, use the links above. For anything else, contact us.
Changes
If we change how the game handles data, we will update this policy and the date above.
